Rosacea can be embarrassing and uncomfortable. It can appear in your 30s and worsens with age but can be controlled. Having rosy cheeks is sometimes considered a sign of robust health or of an active, outdoor lifestyle. For reasons such as these, for centuries women have used rouge or blush to artificially heighten the colour in their faces. Unfortunately, for sufferers of rosacea, facial ruddiness is not something they can wash off with just a swipe of make-up remover. With rosacea, in addition to the appearance of permanent flushing there may also be enlargement of surface blood vessels, yellow-headed pimples and even swelling and permanent deformity of the nose. Rosacea tends to appear between the ages of 30 and 50, and worsens with age.

A scrub is an important accessory to your skin care routine that speeds up natures process to remove dead skin. The use of scrubs will make your skin look healthy and fresh, creams will penetrate better and make-up will lay well. Scrubs are made for your face to your feet. Be sure to use the scrub made for that part of the body you want to remove dead skin. Basicly, the thicker the skin(hands and feet), the coarser the scrub. There are two types of scrubs for your face. A daily scrub to use daily such as Clinique's 7 Day scrub cream, will have finer granules. A scrub to be used once or twice a week such as Booth's Green Apple scrub, has granules similar to sugar. Dry chapped lips are a problem this time of year and can benefit by a very fine scrub just for lips by Crabtree&Evelyn, use according to directions.

But National Skin Cancer Committee chairman Craig Sinclair says almost 400,000 adolescents were still getting burnt each weekend last summer. "A quarter of all adolescents aged between 12 and 17 are still getting sunburnt on a typical summer weekend," he said. "What we know about the evidence between the link between sunburn and skin cancer later in life, this is certainly a real concern to the cancer councils." The study of 5,000 adults and 650 teenagers found girls are more likely to deliberately tan than boys. Mr Sinclair says an emotional TV advertisement is being launched, featuring 26-year-old Clare Oliver, who died from a melanoma last year. "Along with this data we're releasing today is a new television commercial, which highlights her tragic death and the importance of early detection in relation to melanoma," he said.
BBC anchor sues over facial surgery for HDTV makeover

BBC did not require her to have the surgery, but news anchors all over the world have voluntarily gone under the knife so their imperfections do not show up on the clearer high-def picture, several times under the pressure of station broadcasters."I went in to get some minor scarring on my cheeks treated. I was told it would be a routine procedure and I'd be back to work in days. The treatment, however, caused a massive skin reaction," said Silverton.She claims she had to take off two weeks before returning to work, and when she did go back she required more make-up than before the procedure. She is seeking unspecified monetary damages. .
