Spending a fortune on skin care? Read this

More than ever — expensive, high end cleansers and creams are cutting into women's wallets. Lots of these products come with a heaping of hype — promising to rid your skin of blemishes, wrinkles and make you look "radiant." But does pricey always mean better? Real Simple magazine's Suzanne Rust tells us where we can save on our daily skin care regimen — and where it is actually worth it to splurge.

General saving tip:
The first step to saving on skin products? Use less. If your method is to begin with a big dollop of face cream and then smear it between your hands, that is where most of the cream will stay. Instead, dab a dot on your forehead, cheeks and nose, then spread it and rub in.

Cleansers
A cleanser should do just that — cleanse. Any expensive active ingredients in a cleanser are only on your face for a few seconds.

Chirally Correct Cosmeceuticals

Sircuit Skin products have made a name for themselves among the Hollywood A-list set thanks to a novel formulation approach known as Chiral technology. Derived from the Greek word "chir," which means "hand," the technology refers to a mirror image phenomenon frequently found in nature (e.g., human hands, eyes and feet are identically opposite, mirror images of each other). Sircuit’s full product line is built on a "Chirally Correct" molecule theory and are promised to pair perfectly with the skin’s cells to produce "only the positive effects of each ingredient or nutrient, while virtually eliminating any adverse reactions," thus restoring purity and alignment to the skin on a molecular and cellular level. When a product is "Chirally Correct," it implies that it contains only the molecules with the ability to give the desired results, according to Michael Wolfgeher, president of the Los Angeles, CA-based company, who cited vitamin C, L-ascorbic acid, as an example.

Body Buddy Company

Skin care beyond your reach. The newly patented body buddy non-absorbent lotion applicator is an easy way to independently apply skin care products to your own back and any other hard-to-reach area of the body. From head to toe, the benefits of this innovative product over what has been available on the market are immeasurable. To start, the ease of use makes the applicator age, size, and gender friendly. For use on the back, simply dab a small amount of product on the band, flip it over your shoulder, grab the loose handles, and draw back and forth, just like drying off. There you have it, exactly where you missed before. Brilliant! The carefully sewn soft vinyl band, creates a non-porous and therefore non-absorbent surface, so your product is absorbed into your skin, and virtually nothing is left on the applicator.

Did You Find What You Need To Know About Adult Acne

Many adults are surprised about grappling with adult acne. They erroneously think that acne is restricted to the teenagers. Most of these people don't have acne and 'bad skin' that their mates had while growing up. So, in their mind, they thought they have escaped it forever. So, when they see acne or pimp-le on them, they are embarrassed. But the truth of the matter is that most of the acne cure products manufactured in the United States alone are bought and consumed by those suffering from adult acne. So, if you are an adult with the problem, it means that you are not yet free. And help is available today.
Numerous people are not aware of the causes of it. Actually, the causes are many but we will look at just a few of them here. Many of the cases of acne or adult acne in particular are a direct result of hormonal imbalances or blocked pores on the skin.

Relief for dry skin

It's that time of year in some places. Low humidity, cold weather, hot showers.

Dry skin.

From mildly annoying to very irritating, dry skin plagues us more when the mercury plunges and the furnace comes on. But unless you're dealing with a genetic skin condition or a chronic issue like eczema, dry skin is a common wintertime problem simple steps can relieve.
